Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to lots of classical music and old Boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. At the age 16, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to provide her with more intense training in singing. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved into America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her love of music and art. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Chorale for their permission to play the traditional Latin American song.
